Robin Kim, Intern Analyst

Robin Kim is a Graduate Intern Analyst at BJH Advisors, where she applies her interdisciplinary expertise in urban planning, cultural anthropology, and advertising. She is currently pursuing a Master’s in Urban Planning at NYU Wagner, with coursework in Urban Economics, Financial Management, Land Use Law, GIS, and Data Analysis refining her technical and analytical skills.

Robin holds a dual degree in Cultural Anthropology (B.A.) and Advertising (B.S.) from Boston University, equipping her with a culturally informed and creative approach to planning. As part of her senior thesis, she conducted a phenomenological ethnographic study in Seoul, examining the effects of rapid urbanization on housing and gentrification. Through an independently led research initiative, she conducted 12+ formal and informal interviews, culminating in a successful thesis defense in May 2024 and earning BU’s Anthropology Department’s Annual Research Award. This experience strengthened her understanding of how social infrastructure, shaped by urban planning, directly impacts residents' lives, fueling her commitment to economic development.

At NYU, Robin is a writer for Wagner Planner and an Admissions Ambassador for Wagner.

Robin is proficient in Microsoft Excel, ArcGIS, QGIS, Python, R, and Adobe Suite, applying these tools to spatial analysis, data visualization, and urban research. She is also proficient in Korean.
