+Pool
Friends of +Pool engaged BJH Advisors to assist in pro forma development, economic impacts analysis, and public-private partnership advisory for its self-filtering floating swim facility. The organization used the material for its submission to the New York City Economic Development Corporation’s 2019 Request for Submission of Interest for an East River Swim Facility (the RFEI). The project, which address impediments to recreational access to the City’s river ways, would offer myriad other/indirect benefits such as engagement with scientific innovation, job development, and health and social infrastructure for underserved communities.
BJH’s pro forma model – for the budget and operations as well as for economic impacts – was incorporated into public engagement documents as well as the official RFEI submission. BJH is continuing to advice +Pool on an informal basis as it advances this important infrastructure for the City.
