Manu Delgado-Medrano, Strategic Advisor

Héber Manuel Delgado-Medrano is a consultant for BJH Advisors, is an experienced strategist, data analyst and project manager with expertise in behavioral science, financial, economic and discounted cash-flow modeling, traffic network and demand growth modeling, impact evaluation, discrete-choice and risk modeling, cost-benefit analysis, quantitative and qualitative research, database management and public policy. Recent projects of his include a socioeconomic impact study for a redevelopment project in Nassau County, NY, a financial model for a new nonprofit development in Union Square, NYC, an analysis of the impact of Airbnb on the rental market in NYC, an intervention to nudge people out of mass transit peak-hour commute in Chicago, an exploratory analysis for a congestion charging project in Mexico City, a 4G/LTE network discounted cash-flow model in Mexico and demand models for Bus Rapid Transit and Cable Car systems.

Prior to joining BJH Advisors as a Strategic Advisor, Héber was a Vice President at the BVA Nudge Unit, where he developed and managed behavior change projects in the private sector across the US, and a Senior Associate at ideas42, where he led multiple projects and experiments focusing on behavior change within financial inclusion, city governance, telecom and mass transit in the US, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, India and the Philippines.

Héber was also the Director of Quantitative Analysis at Mexico´s Federal Telecommunications Regulator (IFT), where he directed a team of economists and mathematicians in the development of analyses, proposals, recommendations and quantitative and qualitative inputs to support the enactment of regulatory policy in the telecommunications sector. Prior to that, Héber was a Transport and Urban Planning Senior Consultant at Steer Davies Gleave in Mexico City, where he led multiple mobility, transport and urban design consulting projects and developed econometric growth models, risk models, cost-benefit analyses, stated preference experiments and quantitative analyses.

Héber attended graduate school at the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs, earning a Master in Public Affairs and a certificate in Urban Planning and Policy. There, he combined his interest in Economic Analysis, Econometrics and Transport and Urban Planning and interned at Embarq México, a Transport and Urban Planning research organization within the World Resources Institute. Héber also has a Bachelor of Science in International Political Economy from Georgetown University.
