Kiersten Mills, Intern Analyst
Kiersten Mills, Graduate Intern Analyst, joined BJH Advisors while pursuing her Master of Urban Planning from New York University’s Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service. She completed her BA at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia in Sociology.
At NYU Wagner, Kiersten has deepened her expertise by studying urban economics, land use law, and data visualization and storytelling. She has a particular interest in population migration patterns and has utilized her skills in R and QGIS to research the phenomenon of a potential reverse Great Migration.
Kiersten’s professional experience is diverse and reflects her strong project management and leadership skills. She served as an Administrative Project Manager at Jordon Construction Company, where she oversaw government construction projects valued between $500,000 and $1.6 million. Her responsibilities included managing subcontractors, creating schedules, responding to RFPs, and processing Pay Applications and Invoices. Previously, Kiersten was a Board Member at Parish House Community Development Corporation, where she played a key role in coordinating community outreach initiatives and collaborating on the Newtown Master Plan, which aims to revitalize a 100-acre disinvested community in Greenville, SC.
